Career and College Reflection
During this assignment I was asked to Reflect on what are my plans for the future. In this task were we did a questionnaire on what we plan to do with our lives. This task had asked us what options we had in mind for college knowing the colleges that we wanted to go to, we needed to know if they the right ones for us. So to help us find that out we were given a GPA converter helping us narrow our decisions. The purpose of this was to do that exact same thing narrow down our choices to the right college to help achieve our goal.
The GPA is grade point average of all the four years in high school. This GPA is scaled numerically on a scale from 65-100 for high schools while in Colleges its a 1.0-4.0 . So when we converted our grades to the schools required GPA we would later find out if this was the school for us.
So the questionnaire for what school will be our first choice was easier to find with this converter. But then we also Had to make sure we mentioned our SAT scores.
When Colleges look at the SAT scores they compare it to their overall accepted percentile with the same range of scores. Meaning that if the majority of there schools accepted SAT score is 2400 then y]the only accepted score is 2400. Unless the school has more sets of percentiles meaning that accept lower scores. I learned that because of my creativity the will to work hard I will make sure that nothing stops me from being an architect. This passion, ardor for architecture has driven me to the next level and I am more than willing to get there.
Im interested in doing architecture for sure, and this is my primary goal until I cannot no more. The Three colleges I am interested in applying to is NYIT, CCNY, and Hostoss community college. These are my three choices because at the moment they would be more convenient for me economically wise and having a roof over my head in the city. Architecture is the place I want to be for the rest of my life I have researched it and I'm understanding what it is that has to be done to become an architect. My applications are sent out and ready to go all I can do now is hope for the best.
